INDIANAPOLIS — On Sunday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department recovered a vehicle that had a child inside it when it was reported stolen. Via a 7:33 p.m. post on X, IMPD reported that it was searching for a vehicle that had a child inside it when it was stolen. Police reported that the car and child were taken from a business in the 4400 block of East 10th Street. IMPD confirmed the child involved in the incident was under five years of age. Fewer than 10 minutes after it made its initial post on X, IMPD followed up with another post. The other post IMPD sent indicated the child and stolen vehicle had both been located safe. It is unclear if IMPD has made any arrests at this point in its investigation. As of this article's publication, no additional information on the incident had been made available.
