Areas of dense fog ahead of Monday rain and warmth

Widespread dense fog has developed across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. Just take a look at our weather cameras just after midnight Monday morning... Watch out for low visibilities as you're heading out; slow down and use low beam headlights.
Areas of dense fog will be experienced early Monday morning.
Look for clouds and areas of fog/mist to persist overnight as our next weather system approaches. Just before daybreak though, rain showers look to arrive, with temperatures rising through the 40s up to around 50 degrees. Winds will also be on the increase, which should mix out some of the fog.

Monday will be a very warm day, as gusty southwesterly winds will boost temperatures well up into the 50s! We'll deal with periods of rain though, especially around lunchtime. Make sure you take the umbrella with you as you head out the door. You'll want to hold onto that umbrella as well, as winds will gust up to 35 mph at times.

Most of the rain tapers off Monday evening and we'll be dry then Monday night. Additional rainfall of up to around a half an inch can be expected, with higher amounts southeast and lower amounts northwest. All great news for the drought!

We turn cooler behind Monday's weather system and we'll dry out on Tuesday. Look for high temperatures to be back down in the 40s.

Temperatures will tumble back into the upper 30s on Wednesday, with some scattered rain/snow showers possible. Highs will stay in the 30s through Friday before arctic air surges back in and drops high temperatures into the 20s by the weekend. Stay warm and stay tuned for forecast updates, as some lake effect snow may develop as well by week's end.
