Magic City looks to go green for Christmas with "seven days of recycling" initiative
Dec 15, 2024
MINOT, ND (KXNET) — The Magic City is looking to go green this holiday season. Today, the city launched its "seven days of recycling" program.
They say it's all about recycling solutions.
Officials say this is a way to keep people mindful of holiday waste as well as to learn how to properly dispose of certain Christmas items.
For example, the City of Minot talked about how to dispose of Christmas lights.
They say that since most string lights are made with a special plastic, people in the Magic City should dispose of them through other means besides their regular curbside recycling bin.
The City of Minot says programs like these are important, so we can all celebrate the Christmas season together responsibly.
