RPD: Driver crashes Kia into tree, occupants flee in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The driver of a Kia slammed into a tree Sunday evening in the area of Jefferson and Columbia Avenues, police announced. All of the occupants took off from the scene before officers and firefighters arrived, according to the Rochester Police Department. This happened shortly before 4:30 p.m.

Local expert suggests use of VPNs amid drone sightings
On scene, a News 8 photojournalist saw two police cruisers surrounding the 2018 Kia SUV, which was resting against a tree. The Kia sustained some damage to its front end. Officers said there were no reported injuries. The Kia had not been reported stolen at the time of the crash.
As police continue to investigate, officers asked anyone with information to call 911.
