Warm start to the week expected, then comes Santa Ana winds

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The start to the week is expected to be warmer with above average temperatures Monday and Santa Ana winds anticipated by mid-week, according to the National Weather Service.

As for the Santa Ana winds, meteorologist predict they will develop Tuesday night and likely peak with strength Wednesday morning. From there, winds are expected to gradually weaken Thursday.
Some locations through and below passes and canyons will have a 30% or greater chance of wind gusts over 40 mph, with local gusts over 50 mph. In a big leap, the Campo area shows an 80% chance of gusts above 40 mph.
