Man arrested after robbing, vandalizing two Vallejo businesses: police

(KRON) – An armed man stole $6 worth of merchandise from a restaurant and vandalized another on Friday, according to the Vallejo Police Department.
The first robbery occurred at a restaurant on the 3600 block of Sonoma Boulevard. Officers learned that a man armed with a knife entered the establishment demanding food and money. Police learned the employees did not comply with the robber’s commands. According to Vallejo PD, the suspect left the restaurant with $6 worth of stolen items.
VPD said the suspect subsequently vandalized property and threatened to kill employees of another store on the same street.

Vallejo police said officers saturated the area and located the suspect on the 800 block of Redwood Street. Officers said the suspect refused to comply and did not let go of his knife.
Police said the suspect eventually complied after a long stand-off.
The knife, which was used in both robberies, was booked as evidence.
The victims identified the man as the suspect. He was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail.
