RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Feeling charitable this holiday season? We here at 8News have compiled a list of toy drives throughout the Richmond area to help make sure everyone has a gift waiting for them under the tree. Community Thrift of Virginia From now until Dec. 22, people can come out to Community Thrift at 8219 Hull Street Road in Richmond to drop off a new toy, which will go directly to a child in need. Toys can be dropped off from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays through Sundays. If you can't make it in person, you can donate online by clicking here. This toy drive was made possible through Community Thrift's collaboration with Everwild Homeschool Cooperative -- click here for more information. The Jane at Moore's Lake From now until Dec. 21, people can go to The Jane at Moore's Lake, at 12300 Moores Lake Road in Chester, for their Christmas Toy Drive. The drive is being done in a partnership with the Children's Hospital of Richmond, and people can drop off new, unwrapped toys at the collection box in their leasing office. The RipTide Car Wash From 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, people can bring new toys to the RipTide Car Wash at 3025 Mechanicsville Turnpike in Richmond.
