SCITUATE, R.I. (WPRI) -- Rhode Island State Police kicked off their "Kids, Cops and Christmas" toy drive and fundraiser on Sunday morning. Donations were collected during the agency's "Santa at the Museum" event at the R.I. State Police Museum and Educational Center on Danielson Pike. This drive and fundraiser is also done in collaboration with the Attorney General's office, Office of the U.S. Attorney and R.I. Department of Public Safety. People are asked to donate any new toys, winter clothes for children and/or gift cards that are $25 or less. Donations could be made both online and in-person. In-person donations can be dropped off at any R.I. State Police barracks, Cardi's Furniture & Mattresses and Ocean State Job Lot locations until Monday. The donations will be given to local organizations who work with disadvantaged families. NEXT: Community Angels hold 16th annual toy and coat drive Close Thanks for signing up!
