WABASH COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) — According to the Indiana State Police, on Sunday morning, a compact car drove off the road in Wabash for unknown reasons killing 2 teenagers who were inside the car.
The 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser was traveling northbound on County Road 300 West. The driver was 16-year-old Sean Murray Jr. of Wabash and the passenger was 19-year-old Kameron Garriott of Andrews.
Police say that after the car veered off the road for unknown reasons, Murray overcorrected, losing control of the PT Cruiser.
The vehicle slid off the road before striking a tree. Both teenagers were pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
