Dec 15, 2024
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Hundreds of people gathered to place wreaths on veterans' graves in El Paso County on Saturday, Dec. 14.
Wreaths Across America is a project that places wreaths on the graves of veterans at national cemeteries, with the mission to honor America's fallen, remind the next generation of their sacrifices, and honor those who served.
"So that's probably the most important thing," said Bob McLaughlin, Executive Director of Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center. "We must never forget service and sacrifice. And by the action here today, bringing the wreaths to the gravesites is showing that dignity and respect."
