RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A person was taken to the hospital with severe injuries after an apartment fire in Richmond on Saturday. At around 7:43 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, crews with the Richmond Fire Department were dispatched to the 1400 block of Brownleaf Drive for a fire on the second floor of an apartment building. According to officials, a person who was living in the apartment building was taken to a local hospital to be treated for severe injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
