INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metro Police Department is now calling a death investigation that took place four months ago a homicide. According to IMPD, on Oct. 19, officers were called just after 8 p.m. to the 8400 block of Chateaugay Drive on a report of a death investigation. There, police found a woman — later identified as 24-year-old Alisa Raufeisen — with injuries consistent with trauma. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Following this, IMPD said they collected potential forensic evidence and began an investigation. The Marion County Coroner's Office also assisted their efforts. On Thursday, the MCPO determined Raufeisen's cause of death to be a homicide. IMPD is continuing to investigate. While no suspects have been named, IMPD said they encourage those with information to call the IMPD Homicide Office at (317) 327-3475 or email the detective at [email protected]. Alternatively, those wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-TIPS (8477). This is a developing story. FOX59/CBS4 will update this article with more information as it is made available.
