ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Two local businesses teamed up Saturday for a weekend of holiday-filled fun! And yes, Santa Claus made an appearance too.

Shopping for a Cause hosted its annual holiday craft & vendor fair to benefit "Holy Childhood," an organization that supports individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. For the first time ever, the event is slated for two days to help shoppers tackle last minute purchases.
"We've been doing one day and have been so crowded so you couldn't move through here. So, we thought if we broke it up into two days, we might get a little more attendance, but also spread it out a little more," said Laurie Yohe, owner of Shopping for a Cause.
More than 100 local artists and vendors are expected to participate, selling everything from homemade crafts to sports memorabilia. Organizers said it's all about supporting small businesses and keeping money local.

"People have been absolutely wonderful today," Yohe said Saturday. "They love the show, they love the people, they love the vendors - everybody is happy, everybody's in a good mood, it's a great holiday season."
If you're looking to check it out, the event picks back up at Holy Childhood, located at 100 Groton Parkway in Rochester, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
