Hundreds of Rochester kids eat breakfast with Santa, meet local NBA star

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester hosted its annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday. The annual endeavor featured a festive breakfast, the opportunity for children to meet Santa and receive a special gift as well as take part in arts and crafts.
Officials said a record-breaking 700 people signed up this year!
"Thanks to the generosity of the Boys & Girls Club partners and supporters, close to 600 children will receive a gift this year," Caleb McGuire said. "We are also deeply grateful to all donors who purchased gifts through our Amazon Wishlist, ensuring every child leaves with a smile and a gift."
The event was held from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Rochester is located on 500 Genesee Street in Rochester.
"Breakfast with Santa is more than a festive celebration; it’s a tradition of giving and community support that brightens the holiday season for the children and families we serve," McGuire said. "The event showcases the incredible impact of local businesses, organizations, and individuals working together to make a difference."
NBA star Isaiah Stewart of the Detroit Pistons also made an appearance as an alumnus of the B&GCR.
