Syracuse, N.Y. — Guard Jakob Blakley (Elgin, Ill./Walter Payton Preparatory) drained a freshman-record eight three-pointers to lead the Le Moyne College men’s basketball team to a 106-51 victory over SUNY Delhi on Saturday afternoon at Ted Grant Court.Blakley finished the game with 28 points (six more than he accumulated in his first eight career appearances) on 10-of-16 shooting from the field, including 8-of-12 from three-point range, while adding career-bests of five rebounds and three steals. The eight three-pointers put him in an eight-way tie for the second-most in a game by a Dolphin in the program’s history, are the most-ever by a Dolphin in a home game and are the most since Chris Johnson ‘12 made eight at Pace on February 16, 2011.
