SMITHFIELD, Va. (WAVY) — A woman was taken to the hospital with what police said are non life-threatening injuries after a shooting on Wrenn Road in Smithfield Saturday afternoon. The call for the shooting came in at 3:57 p.m., and police found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound, Smithfield Police Lt. William Wooley said. Police were still at the scene as of 7 p.m. and said multiple people have been detained, Wooley said. Wooley said the shooting stemmed from a dispute between two neighbors.
