Dec 14, 2024
El Paso, TEXAS (KTSM) -- Happy Saturday, Borderland! Conditions over the next nine days will remain quiet and calm as we inch closer to the official start of winter.
For Sunday, expect mostly sunny skies along with a high near 65 and low of 40. We’ll continue to gradually go up one to two degrees every day until the middle of the week. A cold front will sweep across the region Wednesday, dropping our highs into the lower 60s and lows in the upper 30s. In addition to cooler weather, we’ll also see the winds pick up a bit. El Paso can expect winds from the east ranging from 10 to 15 mph, decreasing in speed as we get into the evening hours.
For Thursday conditions remain sunny and cool with a high in the upper 50s and low in the mid 30s. Friday conditions will be similar, only slightly warmer.
Saturday marks the beginning of the winter solstice, which is the shortest day of the year. From here on out, days will slowly begin to get longer as we approach March and the beginning of spring. Our high will be a bit of a reach from wintery weather with temperatures reaching the mid 60s and dropping to a low in the upper 30s. Regardless, the weather will be beautiful for the weekend and filled with plenty of sunshine.
Have a great rest of your weekend!
