Syracuse edged by Georgetown in 100th alltime meeting

In the 100th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Georgetown, it was the Hoyas edging Syracuse 75-71 at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday.
Jyáre Davis scored 11 of his 15 points in the first half, as SU went into halftime tied at 37.
Syracuse would go on a 13-2 run, taking a 59-56 lead, midway through the second half. SU could not contain Jayden Epps. With 3:34 to play, Epps scored on a driving layup to give Georgetown the lead for good. Epps led all scorers, with a game-high 27 points.
Eddie Lampkin paced the Orange with 18 points and five rebounds.
Syracuse drops to 5-5 (0-1 in the ACC). Georgetown improves to 8-2. It's the Hoyas first win in Syracuse since 2016.
SU returns to action at the Barclays Center against Maryland next Saturday.
