WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A man is arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter after a deadly crash in south Wichita.
Officers responded to a single vehicle crash in the 1700 block of S. Mosley just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Police say the car hit multiple trees.
The front passenger in the car, 22-year-old Lanashia Clay of Wichita, died at the scene. A 25-year-old who was sitting in the backseat is hospitalized with critical injuries.
The driver was taken to the hospital. Once he was released, Wichita Police booked the 30 year old on suspicion of multiple crimes including involuntary manslaughter and aggravated battery-DUI.
Investigators believe alcohol and drugs were factors in the crash.
