CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – Three children were killed after an early morning fire in Clovis on Saturday. According to the Curry County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement and fire crews were called to a home between Brady Avenue and Highway 60 around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
Camper fire kills two dogs in Albuquerque
They arrived to find a trailer home engulfed in flames. Three adults and two children were able to escape before crews arrived. Those injured were eventually transported to a hospital in Lubbock but officials did not say who was injured.
Officials say three other children were not able to escape the home and died. The Curry County Sheriff's Office is investigating the cause of the fire with the New Mexico State Fire Marshall Office and members of the Major Crimes Unit.
