Brockton Police make 11 arrests connected to yearlong ‘Operation Hellcat’ investigation, searching for two suspects

BROCKTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Brockton police said they made 11 arrests in connection to a year-long car theft ring investigation in Massachusetts, and are still searching for two suspects.
On Dec. 13, Brockton police announced they found suspects linked to a “high-end” car theft investigation, titled “Operation Hellcat,” which involved 63 stolen vehicles totaling over $2.6 million.
36 law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, have been involved in the investigation.
Police said they discovered from June 16, 2023 to November 2024, groups between two to 10 people would visit car dealerships between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.
The groups would use functional key fobs they made to break into the cars, and program new keys “in minutes,” according to police.
In Quincy, eight vehicles were stolen, with at least eight people involved in the theft, according to police.
Police executed search warrants at 11 residences and one garage on Dec. 11, and handled the operation on Dec. 12.
James Senat was arrested after a firearm with large-capacity magazines, an Autel device, key fobs, and a suspected stolen vehicle’s license plate were seized on Leyden Park Road in Brockton. Senat was charged with machine gun possession and vehicle theft, with his bail set at $100,000.
Nelson Pires was arrested after police seized a Dodge Durango Hellcat key fob and paperwork for an Autel device on Moreland Street. Pires was charged for car thefts and possession of burglary tools, with his bail set at $50,000.
Jason Brito was arrested after two loaded firearms, gun parts, 18 spent shell casings, live ammo, and a license plate from a stolen vehicle were found at an apartment associated with him. His bail is set at $50,000.
Kevin DeGraca was arrested after he was allegedly found with a rifle, large-capacity magazines, armor-piercing rounds, and a high-value Dodge supercharger. DeGraca was on probation and has bail set at $50,000.
Jalen Clarke-Cox was arrested after multiple key fobs, clothing from surveillance footage of vehicle thieves, and an antique firearm were found on Colonel Bell Drive. His bail is set at $5,000.
Andy Gomes was arrested after he was linked to Autel device parts found at Waverly Street. He is charged with possession of burglarious tools, and has a pending warrant for unarmed robbery and larceny over $1,200.
Jaydin Rodrigues turned himself in for arraignment and police say he is allegedly connected to a motor vehicle theft on Washburn Avenue.
Andrick Semedo allegedly had items that were seized on Highland Street, and already had a revoked bail for other charges that is set at $50,000.
Paulo Semedo also allegedly had items seized at Highland Street, and was taken into custody after police say they discovered a Glock 43 with his identification. His bail is set at $1,000.
Derek Gaillot was arrested for multiple thefts according to police, and his bail is set at $5,000.
Claudio Medina surrendered to police and has a bail set to $5,000.
One stolen Hellcat that was connected to the operation was found on Suffolk Street in Fall River.
Micaiah Taylor is currently wanted by police for items found on Rockland Street, and police are still searching for suspect Paulo Frederico.
