NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) -- The University of Rhode Island's Department of Public Safety kicked off its annual "Stuff-A-Cruiser" toy drive on Saturday. The toy drive, which first began in 2015, asks people to donate unwrapped toys and essential goods. The drive is held at the Walmart location on Ten Rod Road in North Kingstown. All the donations go to local charities such as Hasbro Children's Hospital. In past years, the drive has saw between 2,500 to 3,000 donations, according to organizers. This year they're aiming to receive more than 3,000 donations. The drive ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will go during that same time on Sunday.
