Expect PECO electricity bills to raise by about 10% starting January

PECO will increase its rates for customers beginning Jan. 1 after a settlement with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Electric bills will rise by about 10% and natural gas bills will go up by about 12.5%. The utilities company says that the rate increase will help fund improvements to its infrastructure and help its transition into renewable resources.
