Scattered showers possible on Sunday

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Mostly cloudy skies this evening with temperatures in the 30s after 6 PM. Grab the heavy coat if you have any plans tonight!
Overnight temperatures will fall into the low 30s and showers will start to move in from the west. Scattered showers will be possible through the early morning hours. A few rounds of scattered showers will be possible throughout the day Sunday with a 40% chance for rain. Temperatures will reach the low to mid-40s.
Sunday is the first of several days of rain chances this week as we move into an active and unsettled weather pattern. However, no day will be a washout, but you'll want the rain gear handy most days this week.
A stray shower will be possible on Monday with a 20% chance of rain. Temperatures will be relatively mild with morning lows in the upper 30s and highs in the upper 50s.
While a stray shower will remain possible on Tuesday, skies will be partly cloudy and temperatures will be warm, especially for December. We'll start the day in the upper 40s with afternoon highs in the mid-60s. An overall beautiful day with a 20% chance for rain.
Scattered showers will be possible on Wednesday with a 40% chance for rain. But temperatures will remain warm with morning temperatures in the upper 40s and highs in the mid-60s. Winds will be breezy out of the southwest at 10 to 20 mph.
Wednesday's rain and breezy conditions are due to a cold front that will drop temperatures for the second half of the week. We'll wake up in the mid-40s Thursday morning with highs in the low to mid-50s. Skies will be partly cloudy with a 30% chance for rain.
Stray showers will remain possible on Friday, but most will stay dry. Temperatures will be even colder behind the mid-week cold front with mornings in the upper 20s and highs in the upper 40s with mostly sunny skies.
Saturday remains cold with morning temperatures in the upper 20s and highs in the low 40s. Skies will be mostly sunny with breezy winds out of the northwest.
