EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- Three people were displaced by a fire in Central El Paso on Saturday morning, Dec. 14, the El Paso Fire Department said. A single-family home, along the 900 block of N. Ochoa St., that was split into two apartments, caught fire. The call came in at about 10:15 a.m. and the fire was under control by 11:10 a.m., the Fire Department said. The fire is being called unintentional and the cause was a heat source or open flame close to combustible items, the Fire Department said. Eleven units responded. The Red Cross was called out to assist the displaced residents.
