LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. -- Lee's Summit wanted to help Taylor Swift ring in another year. They held their "Merry Swiftmas" shopping experience Friday night and all the Swifties came out to celebrate. The stores and streets were packed with fans. Thirteen shops opened up their doors after hours to bring special offers and Taylor Swift themed drinks and snacks for everyone. "So tonight is "Merry Swiftmas." It is our first year doing this at downtown. It is a big shopping event for 800 people to celebrate Taylor's birthday and be apart of the downtown Lees Summit community," said Courtney Laufketter, vice president of sales for Budget Blinds.
