FREDERICK COUNTY, MD. (DC News Now) -- The Brunswick Police Department (BPD) said Friday morning that it was investigating after someone stripped the city's Christmas tree of its ornaments Friday morning. BPD shared the news on its Facebok page. Grandmother’s Christmas tree stolen in Silver Spring car break-in In the post, the police department wrote: "Today, members of our community were shocked to discover a sad sight in the heart of our town: the city Christmas Tree, a beloved symbol of the season, had been stripped of all its beautiful ornaments." BPD added that police interviewed several people who were in the area of the tree. Those people were able to give information that helped officers put together a timeline as police worked to gather other details. Police said they had several pieces of evidence, and would release information as they were able.
