Fans excited to watch ArmyNavy rivalry game Saturday in Prince George's County

LANDOVER, Md. (DC News Now) -- Thousands of college football fans are in the DMV for the Army-Navy showdown.
Many were at the Yards Park at Capitol Riverfront to celebrate the countdown to game day with the ultimate fan fest.
Heather Diaz, her husband Zach and their family attended Friday's block party. They are Army fans and traveled from Lakeland Florida to D.C. and are going to watch the game at Northwest Stadium on Saturday.

Heather Diaz said her daughter is a freshman at West Point.
“This is our first rivalry game and it is cool to see all the festivities and all the Army and Navy fan. It is a rivalry but everyone is nice and like family, so it is cool,” Heather Diaz said.
Zach Diaz said routing for the Army in one of the biggest college rivalry games.
“This is really cool and fun that it’s in D.C. and we have all our kids with us and it is a fun rivalry with all the fans here it is a great experience," he said.
Pedro Suarez-Solar and his family are Navy fans and flew to D.C. from Missouri to enjoy game day weekend.
“It is super exciting, and we are glad to be here with all this fun activity our son is a 4th-year student at the Naval Academy. It is a great get-together and a big block party and it’s the oldest rivalry in college football," he said.
Annual Youth Basketball game in Greenbelt showcases teenagers against first responders
The first-ever official Army-Navy Block Party featured live entertainment, games, giveaways, an Events DC curling rink, a Fanatics merchandise trailer and an EA Sports Army-Navy College Football 25 Finals match presented by USAA.
The party concludes at 8 p.m. with a fireworks display presented by USAA.
Kick-off for the game is Saturday at 3 p.m. at Northwest Stadium
