FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Valley Animal Center in Fresno announced the return of their annual Kitty Christmas and Merry Mutts, an event organized to help them prepare for the upcoming year. According to officials with the shelter, this "magical time of the year" will have an afternoon full of holiday fun, including local shopping vendors with unique finds, Christmas tree and wreath raffles, delicious baked goods and open-house tours. Like other events, the Kitty Christmas and Merry Mutts will ask for an entry fee. However, what sets it apart is that its suggested entry fee includes items such as bleach, anti-bacterial dish soap, HE (front loader) laundry detergent, canned cat wet food, 33-gallon trash bags or any type of financial donation. The shelter adds those who would like to donate baked goods can fill out their donation form here or those who would like to donate for the Christmas tree and wreath raffle can fill out a donation form here. They also accept "in-kind" and financial donations to support the care of their adoptable pets. The event will take place on Dec. 14 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, click here.
