WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Humankind Ministries Operation Holiday started distribution today.
Organizers say the nonprofit collected enough items for nearly 15,000 Kansans. An organizer says it's encouraging to see how much Wichitans care for others.
"Operation Holiday has shown me how incredible the Wichita community is. I've never had to struggle to find any volunteers. Everyone is willing to help. We've had around 700 people sign up to volunteer," Meredith Beal, Humankind Ministries community engagement coordinator, said.
