Georgia Southern Women's Basketball breaks attendance record in first win at new arena

STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) — Georgia Southern Women's Basketball earned its first win at the brand-new Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center Friday with a 78-46 win against Coastal Georgia.
The Lady Eagles also set an all-time women's basketball attendance record. There were 3,925 fans there to watch the win, more than any game at Hanner Fieldhouse.
Georgia Southern dominated the second half of this matchup. At halftime, the Eagles led by only six before out-scoring Coastal by 16 points in the third quarter, and 10 points in the fourth enroute to a 32-point victory.
Jazmyne Jackson led the scoring for the Eagles with 18 points on impressive 5/9 shooting behind the arc. Mckenna Eddings added a great spark off the bench, finishing with 11 points.
Georgia Southern's next game is set for Dec. 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Florida Atlantic University.
