A dead baby boy was discovered on a San Bernardino sidewalk, and police are asking the public to come forward with information that would assist their investigation.
The boy was found in girl’s clothing around 6:30 a.m. Dec. 3 in a residential neighborhood in the 100 block of North I Street, Detective Edgar Chavez said in a video posted on X on Friday, Dec. 13. That is near Second Street and the 215 Freeway.
The baby was in the early stages of decomposition and likely brought to the location in a blue shopping bag, Chavez said.
The baby was two to three weeks old, Capt. Nelson Carrington said. Police are concerned about the mother’s well-being and want to contact her, Carrington said.
Police ask anyone with information on the case to contact Chavez at 909-384-5637 or [email protected], or Sgt. Erik Campos at 909-384-5613 or [email protected].
