Man wanted, accused of hitting homless man with car behind Colonial Heights 7Eleven

COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WRIC) -- Police are searching for a man accused of hitting a homeless man with his car behind a 7-Eleven in Colonial Heights in mid-November.
At about 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, a man was found with serious injuries behind the 7-Eleven at 617 Boulevard. Officers with the Colonial Heights Police Department were told by witnesses that the victim -- who is reportedly homeless -- was hit by a driver who fled the scene.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, then transferred to VCU Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. As of the time of the crash, he was considered in serious but stable condition. Police told 8News on Friday that he is "still recovering."
On Thursday, Dec. 12 -- exactly a month after the initial incident -- the department provided an update on its investigation, announcing that it had identified the suspect.

Dravonte Williams, pictured below, is wanted on three charges in connection to this crash: felony aggravated malicious wounding, felony leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving.
