LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)- A film profiling high-level college football recruits, that was produced by Kentuckians Sherman Brown and Jared Smith, is out now on several streaming services. Bluechippers- The Next Man Up follows four then-high school football players from Louisiana as they navigate the college recruiting process. The film takes place in 2021 through present day. The name comes from what a four or five star ranked player is called; a blue chip recruit. Since December 1, the documentary has been out on platforms such as Google Play, Amazon Prime and Apple TV. Smith stopped by ABC 36 to share some insight on how they made the documentary and why football fans everywhere will enjoy watching.
