KC Pet Project’s Board of Directors has appointed Steven Kaufman as Interim CEO, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization.
KC Pet Project has outsourced services to the city since 2020, but some city leaders and residents have raised concerns about slow response times, among other issues.
Platt has 30 days to come up with that plan. Once that happens, it needs to be presented to the committee, and the council will once again need to approve it. Until that changes, KC Pet Project will continue its services for now.
Currently, KC Pet Project services animal control with the City, but those services and the contract for them is set to expire this coming spring.
