LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Three juveniles have been arrested for their alleged roles in a robbery at a Lafayette gas station in November. Officers with the Lafayette Police Department were called around 3:16 a.m. on Nov. 28 to a Speedway Gas Station, located at 415 North Sagamore Parkway, in response to reports of a robbery. LPD said preliminary information indicates three juvenile males entered the gas station and one one individual proceeded to commit a "strongarm" robbery against the store clerk. The three suspect juveniles then fled the scene on foot before police arrived. Detectives managed to identify a 14-year-old male who they believe participated in the robbery. This juvenile was arrested on Dec. 11 and preliminarily charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, LPD said. A subsequent interview of the detained 14-year-old led detectives to execute a search warrant the following day which led to the arrests of a 15-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, who were also preliminarily charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. LPD said other individuals who allegedly participated in the robbery have been identified. However, no additional arrests have been announced as of this article's publication. The investigation into the robbery remains ongoing.
