Conditions are still cold tonight, but much less windy than recent days. Evening temps started off in the mid-upper 20s and are falling to the upper teens by early morning. Our sky remains partly cloudy tonight. Temps fall from the 20s to the teens tonight. Two storm systems, areas of low pressure, have their sights set on our region over the next few days. Our Saturday weather isn't too terribly active, though. The biggest thing you'll notice is that our sky becomes mostly cloudy and winds pick up just a tad. The winds will be blowing in from the east at a speed of 10-15 mph. High temps will rise to the upper 30 by late afternoon. Rain from this first system isn't expected to start until Saturday night at 5 pm or after. Most of the rain will fall overnight from Saturday into Sunday. There's a slight chance of freezing rain or even a few snowflakes mixing in north of Fort Wayne. If any ice does develop, it will be short-lived with temps rising above freezing overnight into Sunday morning. Regardless of ice or not, the roads will be slick from the rain. Drive with care and caution Saturday night, especially in spots north of Fort Wayne. On Sunday morning, some showers are still possible through midday, but the rain will get more and more scattered during the afternoon and evening. High temps continue to increase on Sunday with highs reaching the mid-40s. The warmest day in the forecast is Monday with high temperatures in the mid-50s and this is the day when the second system moves in to bring us more rainfall. A soaking rainfall is coming our way thanks to rain chances from Saturday night through Monday. Between Sunday and Monday, 1"-2" of rain may fall. This will certainly help our region with its ongoing drought. High temps fall back to the 40s on Tuesday, the 30s on Thursday, then the 20s on Saturday.
