COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– This holiday season the Columbia-Richland Fire Department is hearing up for its annual “Firefighters Feeding Families Food Drive”.
Mike DeSumma with the fire department says local businesses both big and small have donated non-perishable food items for next Friday’s drive.
Now in its 5th year, the event continues to grow in size with around 500 families expected to participate.
If you would like to be added to the department’s list to receive a bag of food, DeSumma says it’s not too late, just call their headquarters at 803-545-3700.
Families can pick up their groceries at the fire department’s headquarters at 1800 Laurel Street on Friday, December 20th between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the afternoon.
