Bismarck daycare workers facing charges for alleged child abuse
Dec 13, 2024
BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A former Bismarck daycare worker along with the owner, director, and assistant director are facing charges and jail time for alleged child abuse and neglect.
Court documents obtained by KX News say the case involves an incident from last year where investigators say they found three children with signs of bruising at the former KinderKidz Daycare. That business was located along Sharloh Loop in Bismarck.
The documents also say that an officer at the scene questioned the former owner, Jennifer Moser, as well as a worker in question, Angela Kunz. Police say there was no '960' form filed, which is required for possible cases of child abuse, and there was no surveillance video that could have shown any alleged abuse.
Kunz was arrested this week and appeared in Burleigh County court. She's being charged with a felony count of child abuse by a caregiver. Kunz posted bond and so far, her trial is scheduled for April.

Kinder Kidz is no longer in operation, and another childcare center has now opened in the former space.
Moser, director Jordan Casson (Walz), and assistant director Susan Bosch have also been charged in this case.
They are facing charges of failure to report suspected child abuse or neglect (Misdemeanor B), as well as child neglect-parental care (Felony C). Casson is also facing a Class C Felony charge of tampering with physical evidence.
Moser and Bosch's trials have been set for March, while Casson's trial was pushed back to April.
