SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Springfield Thunderbirds Teddy Bear Toss jerseys have finally arrived.

The jerseys ended up in Germany instead of Springfield last weekend, which they were supposed to wear during the teddy bear toss game on Saturday.
The organization says they didn't arrive on time because of a shipping error with UPS. The players held off on wearing those jerseys and instead wore their throwback ones for fans that night.
“It's one of those things that you plan for these types of nights you know we do this six times a year we wear these special jerseys we try to make the best out of it and I think our fans appreciate it,” said Nathan Costa, the President of the Springfield Thunderbirds.
The Thunderbirds plan to wear the Teddy Bear Toss jerseys at their home games on December 27th and 28th.
The team collected a record-breaking 7,100 stuffed animals from their 'Teddy Bear Toss' last Saturday, which will be gifted to underprivileged kids across western Massachusetts.
