Arrest made in Warehouse District homicide investigation

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — An arrest has been made in the investigation of a Warehouse District homicide that happened in November.
According to the New Orleans Police Department, around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 3, officers responded to the call of shots fired in the 700 block of Tchoupitoulas Street.

Upon arrival, they found 24-year-old Frederick Magee suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

An investigation revealed Magee was outside of a business when he was approached and shot by the suspect identified as 25-year-old Jeremiah Williams, before he fled.
NOPD officers reported Magee was the intended target.

A warrant was issued for Williams' arrest on a count of second-degree murder. He was found at a home in Jefferson Parish, arrested and booked into Jefferson Parish Correction Center as a fugitive.
