Catering restaurant offering lamb chops, fried catfish now open in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A new restaurant offering comfort food has officially opened in Baton Rouge.
Odom's Kitchen, located at 9431 Delcourt Drive, opened to the public on Nov. 26. The restaurant offers lunch specials, which could include seafood potatoes, lamb chops and fried catfish. Odom's Kitchen also serves gumbo, alligator sauce piquant and Pepsi brand products, according to D'Andra Odom, wife of co-owner and Executive Chef Brandon Odom.
She also said the restaurant plans to offer a selection of adult beverages for private events. The catering company decided to open a brick-and-mortar location.
"From the very beginning, my husband and I set a goal to open our brick-and-mortar location. It was and still is important to us to build our own legacy and create a space that offers something for everyone, a true one-stop shop where people can come together and enjoy what we have to offer," said Odom.
Odom said the event center is available 24/7. They will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Guests can enjoy their lunch inside or order for carry-out.
The restaurant is off Airline Highway, behind the Uniform Mart, where Rouge La La Catering was located.
"This location chose us," said Odom. "The owner of Rouge LaLa and I met when our kids were in school together. This summer, she reached out to ask if we were interested in an incubator kitchen. I mentioned that it was a possibility, but we were actively looking for a permanent home for an event venue and a 'lunch counter.' After that discussion, as believers in God, we both attributed this opportunity to being God-ordained."
Guests can check out Odom's Kitchen on Instagram and Facebook.
