A 15-year-old girl from Evergreen Park has been missing for more than two weeks, and her older sister is urgently seeking information on her whereabouts. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is asking for the public’s help in finding Julianna Preston, who went missing Nov. 25. Preston is described as 5-feet tall, 130 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair, according to the child protection agency. The teen was living with her older sister, Kayla Corcoran, in Evergreen Park, after moving out of her dad’s home in February, Corcoran said. Corcoran said the teen is identifiable by a bright red Juicy Couture purse. “That’s like her staple, she brings it everywhere,” she said. On Corcoran’s Facebook, she said her sister likes to wear fake eyelashes and lipstick, along with a black Guess coat and short Juicy Couture boots, both featuring gold accents. The child protection agency said authorities believe Preston may stay in the Chicago area or travel to Highland or Griffin, Indiana. The agency said Preston’s poster is being featured on the Ring Neighbors app. Corcoran said the teen enjoys attending car meets and street takeovers, and is often in Chicago’s downtown area, as well as Chicago Heights and Steger. She said Preston was spotted at three different locations in Evergreen Park last week, and remains hopeful the teen will soon be found. “Hopefully we get some answers from that,” she said. Corcoran said this isn’t the first time the teen has run away, but noted that the last occurrence was a long time ago. “We have no clue where she could be. She is a runaway and might not respond well to being approached so if you see her please call the police with her location or the license plate of the car she might be,” Corcoran wrote on Facebook. Anyone with information on Preston’s whereabouts is asked to call the Evergreen Park police at 708-422-2142 or National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 800-843-5678. [email protected]
