NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - For three decades the Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival. is held every July at Look Park in Northampton to promote Scottish culture, raise funds for other local non-profit organizations, and award Scottish cultural scholarships for Highland dancing and piping.
What makes the Glasgow Lands so special is the music. Over 700 talented pipe and drum musicians serenaded all in attendance throughout the day. This is the only Scottish Festival in all of Massachusetts, and the second largest one in New England, all creating an immersive experience.

For the thousands of families who strolled throughout the festival, it was an opportunity to taste Scottish whiskey, see historical reenactments, experience Irish dance, and benefit two nonprofit organizations, River Valley Counseling Center in Holyoke and the Forum House – Viability, Inc. in Westfield.
After their most successful events in 29 years, the Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival will be donating $43,000 to the two local organizations. Members from both organizations have helped with the festival by volunteering to work at the Gate and Celtic Pub. On Friday, the Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival will present each organization with a check for $21,500.
The next Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival will be held at Look Park on Saturday, July 19th, 2025.
