BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- The Bob Elias Kern County Sports Hall of Fame announced its 2025 class of inductees at Thursday's luncheon inside Mechanics Bank Arena. The 2025 class had the second team to ever be enshrined, including Brook Roberts, coach of the 1996 state title-winning Centennial girls volleyball team, along with husband and former CHS baseball coach, Randy Roberts. The two have been married for 50 years. They are the first husband-wife combo in the hall of fame. Longtime Bakersfield College baseball coach Tim Painton and Renegade track and field superstar, Aisha Harrison-Maston rounded out the 2025 class. "I still don't believe it yet, you know what I mean? It's just to be rewarded for something that I really, really enjoyed," said Randy Roberts. "I was one of those guys that I loved to going to work every day." Next year's induction dinner is set for Thursday, Feb. 20, at the downtown Marriott.
