(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said police have identified and arrested a suspect in four robberies and one attempted robbery.
According to CSPD, from Nov. 16 to Dec. 11, CSPD's Robbery Unit investigated a pattern of convenience store robberies. Police said there were four successful robberies and one attempted robbery.
In each case, a suspect, later identified as 38-year-old Mickey Brand, would allegedly enter the business, brandish a handgun, and demand money from the employees, according to CSPD.
On Thursday, Dec. 12, Brand was identified and taken into custody without incident by members of the Tactical Enforcement Unit. A search warrant was served at Brand's home and evidence of the alleged crimes was recovered.
