BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Geaux Nation sports team recaps some of the biggest storylines from Week 15 of the college football season.
Chessa Bouche said the return of LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier is the most significant piece to LSU's 2025 roster, especially after both offensive tackles, Will Campbell and Emery Jones, declared for the NFL Draft.
After waiting for three years at LSU, and getting his first season as a true starter, Nussmeier has thrown for 3,739 yards with 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He's also completed 63.7% of his passes on 491 attempts, the second-most in a single season in LSU school history and the third-most in the country this year.
Geaux Nation sports director Brian Holland talks about how the transfer portal has become more like NFL free agency. He also discusses North Carolina's new football coach Bill Belichick and how it could impact college football moving forward.
LSU will cap off the 2024 season with a trip to Houston, Texas for the Texas Bowl on New Year's Eve. LSU with clash with Baylor and former defensive coordinator Dave Aranda on Dec. 31 on ESPN.
