MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) - A southeastern Wisconsin woman known as "Pimpin' Amanda" was sentenced to federal prison for the sex trafficking of multiple victims, including minors as young as 14, over a roughly 17-year span. A release from the United States Attorney's Office of the Eastern District of Wisconsin on December 11 announced that 41-year-old Colette A. Mahan of Milwaukee was sentenced to 19 years in federal prison for sex trafficking. Record amount of meth seized by Wisconsin drug task force after months-long investigation Authorities say that Mahan, also known as Pimpin' Amanda, trafficked numerous female victims, including minors as young as 14 years old, over at least 17 years using "a combination of false promises, threats, and extreme physical violence." Although Mahan had 'many' prior arrests, authorities say this case marks her first felony conviction and prison sentence. Mahan's crimes crossed multiple state lines, allegedly making her victims solicit sex dates at strip clubs, hotels, bars, casinos, and streets across Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. It was also noted that Mahan reportedly demanded that the victims give her everything they 'earned.' During the sentencing hearing, United States District Court Judge Brett H. Ludwig stated that Mahan’s crimes were incredibly serious, and described how Mahan beat young women and girls into selling their bodies and how their suffering financed luxuries for Mahan, including a Porsche. Missing Green Lake kayaker formally charged; select details released of his runaway scheme For many years, Ms. Mahan sought to dehumanize others for her own financial benefit. I commend the courage and resilience shown by the victims when sharing the details of the abuse they suffered at Ms. Mahan’s hands. The 19-year sentence reflects their courage as well as the tireless and collaborative work by the FBI, the Milwaukee Police Department, and federal prosecutors in pursuing justice in this case. U.S. Attorney Gregory Haanstad Mahan entered a guilty plea to one count of Sex Trafficking by Force, Fraud, and Coercion on May 23. Authorities had previously asked anyone who has information regarding Mahan’s involvement in sex trafficking to call 414-276-4684. No additional information was provided.
