FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Col. Joshua “Deuce” Waggoner took his final flight in an F-16 on Wednesday as he hands leadership duties at the 122nd Fighter Wing to Scott “Tug” Boatright. Waggoner is set to fly commercially with United Airlines after he steps down. Col. Waggoner entered service when he enlisted into the Arizona Air National Guard in September 1995 as a maintenance member for the 162nd Fighter Wing in Tucson, Ariz. and transferred to the Indiana Air National Guard in 1996. He retires with nearly 3,000 hours, including over 400 combat hours. Boatright, who began his career in St. Louis and became a Blacksnake in 2007, steps into the top leadership role at the 122nd.
