Route 5 closed in Holyoke due to flooding

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Route 5 in Holyoke is temporarily closed between Jones Ferry Road and Highland Avenue due to significant flooding, according to MassDOT.
The closure is expected to remain in effect through Thursday morning.
Officials have installed message boards, barrels, and signage to alert drivers ahead of the affected area and are urging travelers to expect delays and drive with caution.
MassDOT advises drivers to anticipate delays and exercise caution while navigating the region.
